Plan² has no accounts and no plan server. Everything you draw lives in your browser tab, and nowhere else.
To keep a plan, export it as a file: open it again whenever you like, on any device. Closing the tab without exporting erases the plan, and the editor warns you first.

Frequently asked questions
Is Plan² really free?
Yes, entirely: no paid tier, no subscription, no ads. The project runs on optional donations.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the editor and start drawing.
Where are my plans saved?
In your browser, for the session. Export them as JSON to keep them and open them again later, as a PNG image to show them, or share them as a link: the whole plan fits in the link, and is stored on no server.
Can I use it for a building permit?
Plan² helps you prepare the dimensioned 2D plans of an application, such as the site plan or the room layout. It draws no sections or elevations, and it does not replace an architect where the law requires one.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. The editor adapts to small screens and zooms with a pinch. It can also be installed as an app from the browser.
Why is there no 3D view?
Because today a generative AI (an LLM such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini) can easily produce a 3D view from the image of your plan: just give it the PNG export. Building 3D into the editor would make it far more complex and much heavier, so it is not planned for now. Plan² stays light and fast, and focuses on an accurate 2D plan.
I used Kozikaza. What now?
Kozikaza closed in April 2025, and its plans were moved to Kazaplan, run by Leroy Merlin. Plan² cannot read those files, but redrawing a house usually takes a few minutes.
